Dubai Metro and Tram. The city’s metro system is well-organized, clean and inexpensive, with the network ever expanding. The best deal is to get a pre-paid ‘Nol’ card, of which there are three different colours – silver, blue and gold. Silver is designed for frequent travelers who just want to get from A to B, blue is for people who personalised, secured card, complete with online services, while gold gets you access to the leather seats of the carpeted Gold Class carriages – but at the premium price. Nol cards can also be used on Dubai’s buses and water taxis. The tram is connected to the metro so that is makes it easier to get around. The tram is slow, but better than walking.
