International Baccalaureate*

The International Baccalaureate (IB) was created in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1968 as a non-profit educational foundation, by a group of forward-thinking teachers at the International School of Geneva, with assistance from several other international schools. The programmes develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalising world. The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) currently works with 3,930 schools in 147 countries and reaches over 1.2 million students aged 3 to 19 years.
