April 22nd is international Earth Day. People worldwide will be holding events to demonstrate support for cleaning up and protecting the environment in a proper and responsible way. While this is truly an international event, there are few countries in the world which celebrate Earth Day quite like Japan.
Historically, the equinoctial Earth Day is celebrated in March to mark the vernal equinox and the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
